Aunt Patrice,
Where did you get that fancy name? From Darcy to Diamond. Hmmm this way a Diamond can be a boy’s best friend... I like it! Did you really like your Mardi Gras necklace? Sorry there’s no diamonds but there’s some mighty fancy bead work that went into it. My resources are very limited from in here but someday when I come home I’ll see what I can do to get you something to match that pretty name.
Physics and quantum mechanics. Who do you think you’re writing? Girl, I spent my life getting punched in the head, not splitting atoms! Let me see, I guess it could apply to the ring: M × F³ = TKO. Whoever steps up must go down. The Theory of Pugilism. Yeah, yeah, I guess it could be relative. Starting to sound pretty interesting. I might just look into it.
Right now I’m studying to be a CWI (certified welding inspector). It’s what my brother Jack does for a living. I’ve also been studying Spanish. I want to be fluent by the time I get out. I can read and write it pretty good but have a hard time having conversation because well I don’t really talk to anybody. (I’m kind of a recluse.) También he estado estudiando español. Quiero tener fluidez en el momento en que salga. Soy capaz de leer y escribir es bastante bueno, pero tienen dificultades para tener una conversación, porque así yo realmente no hablo con nadie. (Yo soy una especie de recluso.) I think it will be beneficial. It’s the 3rd largest language spoken in the world and America’s 2nd language.
I also like politics & religion. It’s just crazy how the two lead the world and all the horror that follows. Everything that I’ve learned was self taught and I’m beginning to realize that I am a terrible teacher. Ha Ha. I taught myself to type, my goal is 40 wpm. I’m up to 30 and I’m pretty proud of that. What else? Oh yeah, I taught myself to crochet but it’s been years since I’ve done it. I made Avery a blanket about 4 or 5 years ago. If you’re ever over there ask Molly to show it to you. It’s pretty nice. It just costs too much money and it’s a headache trying to order yarn so I figured I will get back into it once I get out.
We just got MP3 players here and I’m not very familiar with good music. This is embarrassing for me to tell you but all I ever listened to growing up was crap. These days I refuse to subject myself to such negative hateful stuff. I want to hear pretty things that will add beauty to my soul instead of stealing it away. So if you have a few favorites I would love to hear them. Archie gave me a couple of her favorites and they just about make me forget I have any other songs on my MP3.
